The primary need for these services is to provide continuous coverage at the Blind Rehabilitation Service. Work includes the furnishing of nursing staff to assist patients on carrying out medication and treatment orders prescribed by the physician, review medication prescriptions; provide patient assistance to gain independence and the use of special devices, providing health management and associated duties and responsibilities for a patient workload of approximately 16 in the Blind Rehabilitation Service. Professional Registered Nurse (RN) must be able to start on October 1, 2000. Contract award will be based upon the evaluation of offers using numerical scoring, based upon technical excellence, past performance and price. All no-price factors, when combined, aremore important when compared to price. The period of service will be for a basic period (October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001) plus two pre-priced one-year options for renewal. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis.
