The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Chicago Contracting Operations Branch, intends to issue Request For Quotations Number R-2000-R-00212 to procure a fixed-price contract for the Office of the Policy Development (PD&R) in HUD headquarters located in Washington, D.C., to commission three papers on the subject of Demographic Trends Important to Housing. These papers will identify the most relevant demographic trends, discuss their implications for housing, and suggest research that would clarify the likely impact of these trends on housing. This procurement is issued under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The performance period is 14 weeks from the effective date of the contract. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. See Numbered Note 1. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8732 (Commercial, Economic, Sociological and Educational Research). The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard is $5,000,000. THE RFQ WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOADING NOT EARLIER THAN 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF THIS PUBLICATION. The solicitation is due within 25 days from the publication of this notice. Award of the contract is expected to be made by September 29, 2000.
