has a requirement for crowd control barriers. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; offers are being requested and a separate written
solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quote M00146-00-Q-3340
applies and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18 (c) and Defense Acquisition
Circular 98-21. The standard industrial code 3499 and the business
size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for a firm fixed
priced contract, brand name or similar for the following item: 540 each
crowd control barriers, mfg by BARCO Products Company, Model #WCCB1461.
Specifications are: dimensions: 7.3" long x 3'5-3/5" high x 1-1/2" tube
dia., unique interlocking design, disconnects only from ends, remains
linked on uneven surfaces, design allows for nearly 360 degree
rotation, light weight and maintenance free galvanized steel, keep
crowds going in the right direction, protect crowds from dangerous
areas. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The required delivery
date for the above item is 30 days after receipt of order or sooner.
The provisions at FAR 52.212.-1, Instructions to Offers -- Commercial
Items applies. The Government will award a purchase order resulting
from this Request for Quotation to the technically acceptable,
responsive, responsible offeror based on price alone. Offers are
required to complete and include a copy of the following provision with
their proposals: FAR 52.212-3 Alternate I, Offer Representation and
Certifications-Commercial Items. Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and

Source Restriction; DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of
Payment Program; DFARS 252.225-7012, and Preference for Certain
Domestic Commodities. The request for quote is to be priced FOB
"destination" FAR 52.247-34. Request for quote must be received no
later than 3:oo PM, local time, 15 August 2000. You may fax your quote

Postal Service should be mailed to Supply Directorate, Contracting

NC 28533-0018. All RFQ's not sent through the US mail will be
considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand carried RFQ's
(excluding faxed RFQ's) must be delivered directly to building 159,
first floor, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC, Contracting Department. Direct
delivery of RFQ's is only possible during weekdays, excluding federal
holidays, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. As of 31 May 1999,
all Contractors must be registered in the Central Registration (CCR)
Database as a condition of contract award. Contractors may register in
