091100 POC Edith M. Young, Contract Specialist The Federal Bureau of
Investigation intends to negotiate a one time buy Firm Fixed Price sole
source contract with JPS Communications Inc., located at 5720M Capitol
Blvd., Raleigh, North Carolina 27616 for the acquisition of five(5)
TRP-1000 Transportable Case Systems with cables. Each system shall have
complete communication interoperability between multiple federal, state
and local agencies. Operating frequency shall be HF,VHF,UHF, 800 MHZ,
900 MHZ, and plain telephone switched networks, cellular phone networks
and STU-III telephones. Shall be able to conference STU-III secure
calls. Units shall be housed in a ruggized 7u Hardigg case with 19"
shock mount racks, zinc plated hardware with front and rear removable
lids that have insulated interface between the lids and case for
protection from moisture and dust. Cases shall also have removable
heavy duty casters. Systems shall have the ability to connect with
these handheld radios: Motorola Saber, Motorola Astro (each with 5
connections per system); Motorola MT-1000, Motorola HT 220, Motorola
XTS-3000, Motorola MTS-2000, and Motorola MX-300 (each with 2
connections per system). Bendix King and GE MPA, (each with 2
connectins per system). System shall have connectability for two plain
telephone switched telephone networks and ability for four STU-III
telephones. Shall have AC and DC power input. AC shall be 115 to 230
VAC + or -15%, 47-63HZ. DC shall be +11 to +15 VDC @ 5A nominal or +22
to +30 VDC @ 3 nominal. Shall be able to operate in temperatures from
-20 to 60 degrees C. Systems shall have connectability to INMARSAT
Terminals. Additional parts that will be required shall consist of
cables for these systems only. No solicitation packages are available
