alan.adrian@hurlburt.af.mil. 17. Hurlburt Field intends to award a
brand name (sole manufacturer) contract for one (1) each ME-1000-432MB
Solid State Recorder (SSR), under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10
U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This requirement is unrestricted, the SIC is 3663,
size standard is 750 employees. The government requires purchase of
one (1) each ME-1000-432MB Solid State Recorder with the following
salient characteristics: Designed to record multiple channels of
instrumentation data, reliable under high vibration, high shock,
extreme temperature, and humid environments. Utilizes solid state FLASH
memory modules as recording media. No moving parts or mechanical
systems. Control and Status: COMMANDS: RECORD, STOP, BIT, ERASE, ERASE
ENABLE, EVENT MARK, DOWNLOAD. STATUS: RECORD, STOP, BIT FAIL, POWER
ON, DOWNLOAD, and MEMORY REMAINING. FLASH memory modules are
commercially available Type II or Type III PCMCIA FLASH memory modules.
Type III FLASH memory modules are available in capacities of 110, 175,
220, 280, 350, and 500 Mbytes. Accepts nine (9) modules for a total
recording capacity of 990 Mbytes to 4.5 Gigabytes. Reliability of data
recorded in the PCMCIA modules is less than one (1) bit error in 1014
bits. Programmable data interfaces provide operational flexibility.
Four (4) data channels can be set up as either redundant Mil-Std-1553
data busses or PCM channels in combinations. Mil-Std-1553 data busses
can be recorded in a selective mode where only programmed remote
terminals and sub-addresses are captured, or in a full rate mode where
complete bus traffic is captured. PCM channels allow interface to
NRZ-L data with a Bit Rate Clock. Interface setup is via dipswitch
settings or programmable settings through an RS-232 data port. Uses
Merlin SSRConfig Windows 95 software package to set up Mil-Std-1553
channels and/or PCM characteristics. Information is stored in internal
EEPROMs. Two (2) separate RS-422 asynchronous data interfaces are
standard to capture the output of a Global Positioning System (GPS)
receiver to record Time Space Position information. Internal clock used
for time tagging. Audio channel provided to sample analog voice
information and store in memory. Event Mark available for storing time
tags of test points and events. Playback is downloaded via the SCSI
interface into a computer. Audio channel data is formatted into a .WAV
file. No local controls or status indications are present on the SSR.
SSR measures 5.5_H X 6.35_W X 11.1_D, and weighs 17.5 pounds. Chassis
houses seven (7) circuit cards and a 28VDC power supply. Circuit cards
are accessed through a single cover, easily removed without any special
tools. Circuit cards conduct excess heat to chassis. Front panel
connectors mounted directly to a circuit board connected to the
motherboard by a high-density connector. Utilizes EMI filtering.
Chassis is hard-mounted, has front hooks and rear retainer holes for
quick installation and removal from a mounting tray. It is imperative
that this required equipment be of the same make, model and design of
existing components at Hurlburt Field FL to avoid changes in the
operational configuration of Hurlburt Field aircraft. Interested firms
may identify their interest and capability to respond to this
requirement. Written responses to this announcement shall contain
sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill
the requirement. Posted 08/28/00 (D-SN491029). (0241) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0224 20000830\58-0004.SOL)
