This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-00-T-0085. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This is a brand-name acquisition; set aside to small business, the standard industrial classification code is 3679. Edwards AFB, Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) requires the following: 1 each 200-watt, CW, 2.0-8.0 GHz, Dedicated Amplifier System Series 9820, Model 9820/95300-E20H80; 1 each Option _P_ IEEE-4888; and 1 each Gain Equalizer, 5996. This high power CW microwave amplifier is required in the Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF), Edwards AFB. The BAF currentlyhas a test equipment that is configured to the specifications of three Quarterwave TWTAs. There are no substitutes or equal allowed on this contract action. AFFTC intends to procure this TWTA microwave amplifier from Quarterwave Corporation unless other offerors can provide the exact specifications with better terms and conditions. Place of delivery and acceptance is at Edwards AFB, CA, with an FOB destination and date of delivery of 30 days after receipt of order.
