The FHWA intends to modifiy Contract No. DTFH61-00-C-00001, with the Mitretek Systems Corporation to expand the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) System Engineering Center to provide an increase level of effort for essential engineering and research and development capability to support the Department of Transportation's ITS Program. The work will continue to entail a high degeree of involvement in the government's Research and Development programs, covering such areas as Intelligent Transportation Systems communications, software, and control technology applicantions. Interested parties must be, by instiutitional form and operating practices, able to exercise a privileged and confidential relationship with the DOT, and all its various partners.
