D -- ANNUAL RENEWAL OF PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE LICENSING SOL USCA-00-softw POC Dorothy Paul, Contracting Officer (202) 502-2325 The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts intends to negotiate with Computer Associates International, Inc., on a sole source basis, for the annual renewal of proprietary software licensing fees for the following Computer Associates software packages: IDMS Core, IDMS/Culprit, IDMS Performance Monitor, IDMS SQL Extended Architecture, IDMS online Query, IDMS DC, IDMS/DB Audit, IDMS Dictionary Module Editor, IDMS Distributed DB System, IDMS Database Extractor, IDMS Dictionary Migrator, IDMS DB Reorganization, Visual Express, CA-Converter, CA-Transit, CA-1, One, Multi-Image Allocation, Multi-Image Integrity, Multi-Image Console, Enhanced Data Set Integrity, Librarian Base, Panvalet TSE. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available. After analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any suchsolicitation will be issued to the intended awardee and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. The government will not pay for information received. All responsible sources will be considered. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated to be issued as a result of this notice. Interested sources shall submit pricing and technical information regarding this notice to the above address, Attn: Ms. Dorothy Paul, to demonstrate their ability to satisfy this requirement. Such data shall include, as a minimum, a complete description of how the requirement will be met, pricing with all applicable discounts, GSA contract number (if applicable), point of contact, past performance and experience where an offeror has provided this product under other contracts, and any other pertinent information. Interested sources must also show that it is advantageous for the government to consider its product. If no affirmative written responses are received within 30 calendar days of the publication date of this notice to the effect that an acceptable alternate sources is available, a contract will be placed with Computer Associates. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Posted 08/28/00 (W-SN491007). (0241)
