The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly owned Government Corporation, intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide lodging for an AmeriCorps*VISTA National Training Event. This event will take place in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area. Facility must be located within a twenty mile radius of Washington, DC. The requirements are as follows: Sleeping rooms: Ten (10) doubles on Wednesday, October 11, 2000. Sixty-five (65) doubles October 12-13 (two nights). A minimum of one hundred and fifteen (115) doubles and a maximum of one hundred twenty (120)doubles on October 14, 2000 (one night). Miscellaneous: In submitting a bid for this service, please quote a price/guest/day. The Corporation for National Service needs the additional option of canceling two weeks prior to the event (September 27, 2000) for the rooms needed October 11-13, 2000, but guaranteeing rooms for October 14, 2000. Only sleeping room rental costs are included in this solicitation. Incidentals: Individual guests will pay personal expenses (telephone calls, room service, etc.) themselves. Corporation for National Service employees will advise the attendees of this responsibility. Special requirements: At least 25% of the sleeping rooms must be accessible to physically challenged individuals. Federal regulations require that any hotel space contracted shall comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and the FEMA Fire prevention and Control guidelines.
