THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR 1-168-OD.1076 Two New FAA (FAR Part 23) Certified Single-Engine Land Composite Aircraft for Flight Research. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to make changes to the specifications as follows: a: Item 3 of the specification is hereby changed from "170 knots" to "160 knots". b: In Item 4 which reads "Equipment should include VOR, ILS, DME, ADF, GPS, and ....." is hereby changed to read "Equipment should include VOR, ILS, GPS, and a ........". c: Item 6 is hereby changed to read as follows: "Having a two-axis (roll, pitch) autopilot with altitude hold, to enable ........". d: Item 10 is hereby added as follows: "10) The aircraft shall be painted in accordance with NASA Langley Research Center aircraft paint scheme using colors as defined in Federal Standard 595B." The due date for receipt of offers is extended to September 8, 2000. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on September 8, 2000. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0) format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
