- Description
- The U.S.Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) intends to contract for the purchase and shipment of a free floating portable boat lift to be delivered to the U.S. Border Patrol, Ramey Sector Headquarters, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico 00604. The unit must be capable of raising the vessel completely from the water, including drives. Capable of lifting vessels with a gross weight of 25,000 lbs. Capable of lifting both mono-hull and catamaran vessels up to 42 feet in length. Unit must be towable at speeds of up to 10 knots on calm water (empty). Must operate on 110 volt power with controls mounted on the lift. All metal parts must be of either aluminum or "heavy" galvanize. All fiberglass must be white with gel coat finish. All parts below water line must be coated with antifouling paint. Unit must be equipped with "guide poles" that are at least 4 feet higher than the unit in raised position. All vessel support points must be carpeted. Unit must be securable to dock, floating dock, sea wall or pilings. Unit must be able to be shipped to Puerto Rico within five weeks of receipt of order.
