Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and FAR 13.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement consititutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This procurement is unrestricted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. This contract action is for one Vertical Machining Center w/GE Fanuc 21i Control VMC 3016, Working surface 36" x 14", Sprindle Working Area 4.9", max 24.9", Automatic Tool Changer, 22 tools, coolant system, 12 hp spindle motor. The following clauses are incorporated by reference. Solicitation Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (June 1999), FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999), FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (Jun 1999), Far 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Item (May 1999), Questions pertaining to the solicitation must be submitted in writing and maby be faxed to 757-492-7954. Signed and dated quotes referencing RFQ number USZA99-00-Q-0098 must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. 15 September 2000. The quotes must provide sufficient detail on the proposed system to allow for the government to make a determination.
