Description

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ linked above or it may be accessed at http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . NASA/MSFC plans to acquire: (1). "TAPERED FLEX" GRADUATED STIFFNESS INSERTION TUBE. SPECS: COLOR CCD, 8.4MM DIAMETER, 2.9 METER WORKING LENGTH, REAL TIME SCREEN IMAG, TUNGSTEN BRAID,PTFE IMPREGNATED OUTER COVERING, FULL-WAY ARTICULATION: 150 DEGREE U/D, 150 DEGREE L/R, INCLUDING STANDARD OPTICAL ADAPTER AT120D/NF-1V8C6, DIRECT VIEW 120 DEG FOV, AND 5MM-INFINITY DOF. EQUIVALENT PRODUCT ACCEPTABLE. Quantity 1. Unit each. (2). INTERCHANGABLE LENS. 40 DEGREE FOV, DIRECT VIEW, 45 MM-INFINITY DOF, LOW F# (MAX BRIGHTNESS). EQUIVALENT VENDOR PRODUCT ACCEPTABLE. Quantity 1. Unit each. (3). IMAGE EXCHANGE PC SOFTWARE. SPECS: IMPORT AND EXPORT IMAGES IN SEVERAL DESKTOP IMAGING FILE FORMATS. ALLOW QUICK SEARCHING ALONG WITH THUMBNAIL VIEW. TRANSFER MEDIA SUCH PCMCIA HARD DISKS AND MAGNETO OPTICAL DRIVES. EQUIVALENT VENDOR PRODUCT ACCEPTABLE. Quantity 1. Unit each. (4). KIT INCLUDES: PORTABLE, EMBEDDED PC SYSTEM TO ALLOW IMAGE FREEZE, STORAGE, IMPORT/EXPORT, MEASUREMENT, AND AUDIO ANNOTATION CAPABILITY. STORE UP TO 20 IMAGES WITH AUDIO CLIP INTERNAL. UP TO 200 IMAGES EXTERNALLY STORED WITH FLASHCARD-TYPE MEDIA. IV6C6 & IV8C6 STEREO MEASUREMENT, 2D LINEAR SCALAR OR DMB. CAMERA CONTROL UNIT WITH THE FOLLOWING FEATURES: 1:9.9 GAIN; 1/60 TO ONE SECOND INTEGRATION: AUTOCCD SHUTTERING OF 1/1000 TO 1/60 SECOND; WHITE BALANCE WITH MEMORY; FREEZE FRAME; LIVE PAN AND ZOOM; IMAGE ENHANCE; DATE AND TIME DISPLAY. HIGH-OUTPUT LIGHT SOURCE (35W METAL HALIKE ARC LAMP). REQUIRED INTERFACE CABLING. Quantity 1. Unit each. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is acceptable) no later than September 7, 2000. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". This procurement is a total business set-aside. The SIC code and the small business size for this procurement is 3827 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is D0-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by September 15, 2000, 4:30pm cst., and maybe mailed or faxed to PS24-E/Debbie R. Matthews, George C. Marshall Space Flight Center, Marshall Space Flight Center, Alabama 35812 or fax to: (256) 961-0059 and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL: http://procure.arc.nasa.gov/Acq/Forms/Index.html to submit a quotation. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin.
