Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences is negotiating with Metaltek of Morrisville NC to purchase 2 Xeon Illuminators, 1 video system, 1 binocular tube, 1 digital camera, 1 video camera and monitor, and 1 binocular and illuminator (OPMI 6D) on stand with power supply. Pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253 ( c)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The justification for this determination is based on parts need to be compatible with existing surgical equipment. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 5 days of this notice to Mary Kimble at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received with 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified sources is more advantageous to the Government, the order will be awarded to Metaltek. SIC/Size 3826/500 employees. This is a notice of intent and there is no solicitation package. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. See Note 22
