Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-00-Q-0326 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18 and DCN 20000627. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3825 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 Linear Amplifier, P/N L-20, Quantity: 1 each. Specifications can be downloaded at www.crane.navy.mil/supply/announce.htm. This procurement will be satisfied by using a sole-source procurement to Instruments, Inc., San Diego, CA because no other source specializes in the unique features required of these amplifiers for our critical acoustic measurement requirements and it must be compatible with the interfacing and programming formats used in the Digital Acoustic Data Test System (DADS). Delivery is required F.O.B. Crane, IN 47522 within 60 days after award. Final inspection will be at NAVSURWARCENDIV Crane, Sullivan, IN. Ship to address: COMMANDER, Glendora Lake Facility, NAVSURWARCENDIV Crane, 2588 E. County Road 300 N., Sullivan, IN 47882. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
