Description

The National Imagery and Mapping Agency intends to award a sole source procurement to the Richards Corporation, Sterling, VA for the purchase of up to 140 HFO-4 dual track motorized light tables, pending availability of funds. The HFO-4 light table is designed for the Zoom-500 stereoscope and provides vibration isolation and up to 80,000 foot-Lambert's of spot light illumination permitting magnification ranges up to 300x. The HFO-4 is designed to provide exploitation of both roll film and film flats in either monoscopic or stereoscopic applications. The availability of power elevation allows for easy height adjustment. Procurement of HFO-4 light-tables permits the use of current NIMA parts inventory for maintenance and repair since NIMA currently owns 400 units. This is a synopsis of intent to award a firm fixed price contract under FAR Part 12 -- Commercial Items. The authority for sole source procurement is FAR 6.302-1(a), 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Responsible sources that are interested in this procurement may respond by providing clear and convincing information that identifies their ability to provide the product.
