Request for Quotation SP3100-00-T-0156 is hereby extended until 5 Sep 2000 at 3:00 PM EST. The DDC configuration provides for the following ASCII character conversions as the default scanner setting: ASCII SYMBOL: GS TO ASCII: '(left quote) HEX VALUE: 1D TO HEX: 60 DECIMAL VALUE: 29 TO DECIMAL: 96 ASCII SYMBOL: RS TO ASCII: |(vertical bar) HEX VALUE: 1E TO HEX: 7C DECIMAL VALUE: 30 TO DECIMAL: 124 ASCII SYMBOL: EOT TO ASCII: ^ (caret) HEX VALUE: 04 TO HEX: 5E DECIMAL VALUE: 4 TO DECIMAL: 94 ASCII SYMBOL: [ TO ASCII: (tilde) HEX VALUE: 5B TO HEX: 7E DECIMAL VALUE: 91 TO DECIMAL: 126 The default setting also provides that a Carriage Return/Line Feed be sent after scanning the bar code. We want the gun pre-configured with the default set for attachment to a PC, but need the ability to reconfigure for use with a dumb terminal as well.
