Description

(I) THIS IS AN UNFUNDED REQUIREMENT. IT IS CONTINGENT UPON AVAILIBILITY OF FUNDS. (II) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in sub-part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (III) Solicitation F02601-00-Q0126 is being issued as a request for quotation. (IV) This solicitation incorporates clauses and provisions in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. (V) The Davis-Monthan AFB Community Development Center (CDC) is searching for playground equipment that meets the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines for playground equipment. The contractor is to provide all services to include freight, installation, and removal of existing equipment for the south playground located at the CDC. New equipment must be configured for a minimum of 75% of each structure to fit under the two existing shade canopies. This equipment should meet the needs of children ages 3-5 years old. The contractor will be responsible for set-up, installation, and to securely anchor all equipment items and also provides and installs associated items listed below in the suggested line item section. In addition, the contractor will arrange for the removal and disposal of the existing equipment at the CDC. The line items below are suggested but not limited to the playground system a contractor may have already developed. LINE ITEMS: West Structure should include a swing bridge, spiral slide, one enclosed steering wheel, a MINIMUM of 2 additional but varied slides, and a curly climber. All posts and decks must be constructed of galvanized steel with powder coated finish. All slides must be plastic. East structure should include a cliff climber or rock wall challenge, crawl through tube, one double slide, arch climber, arch bridge, MINIMUM of 3 decks, and at least 1 additional slide. All posts and decks must be constructed of galvanized steel with powder coated finish. All slides must be made of plastic. (VI) The government will award on a _Best Value_ determination with price being rated equal to design and equipment provided. Submit a pricing proposal and associated brochures, drawings, and equipment layout. A site visit will be coordinated to occur on or around 11 September 2000. (VII) Delivery/Installation will be coordinated with the successful offeror but will not be before 30 September 2000. Place of delivery and installation is the Child Development Center, Bldg. 2614, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ 85707. F.O.B. POINT IS DESTINATION. (VIII) Provision 52.212-1 Insructions to Offerors- Commercial Items applies. (IX) Clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items and any addenda the clause applies to this acquisition. (X) Clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Require to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to the award document. (XI) Quotations (pricing and technical proposals) are due to the 355th Contracting Squadron, 3180 S. Craycroft Rd. Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ by 18 September 2000, 2 p.m. local time PST.
