Description

The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) thru the Program Support Center, General Acquisitions Branch, intends to award a eleven month sole source Simplified Acquisition to Worchester Polytechnic Institute for Optimizing Aggregation Parameters for Geographic Analysis. The Contractor shall use their knowledge of Bayesian Predictive Inference to identify data needs towards determining an alternative methodology and set of geographic area aggregates (i.e., area groupings, counties, tracts, etc). Perform the necessary research to specify both the criteria for and the new aggregates (also referred to as geographic analysis units). A final report shall be prepared that summarizes the research activities, documenting the findings and offering a series of recommendations as to geographic unit of analysis and the optimal number of years for aggregation. No Solicitation is available. The expected date of award is Sept. 15, 2000.
