Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is preparing to solicit offers for interruptible gas service to be supplied to the proposed Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) to be located north of the city of Bennettsville, Marlboro County, South Carolina. The newly constructed FCI will include housing to accomodate approximately 1500 inmates, and will include warehouse space, and other generic institutional elements. Natural gas service shall be available for testing, with a connection by January 1, 2003. Permanent natrual gas service is required for use by July 1, 2003. The Contractor agrees to sell and deliver to the FCI pipeline quality natural gas at a rate of flow to serve an estimated connected load of 44,000 cubic feet (cf)/hour(hr) of firm and/or interruptible natural gas service. Firm service shall be available for equipment pilot lights, laundry and food service equipment. Firm service shall be available for equipment pilot lights, laundry and food service equipment. The Contractor shall operate and maintain facilities necessary to provide the FCI with an estimated total annual volume of 34,426 Mcf of natural gas. The estimates provided are for the contractor's benefit and are not a guarantee of revenue of usage. It is anticipated that the design of the BOP facility shall requie the Cotractor to deliver the requried natural gas service at 5 psi to the facility through gas regulator(s) and main gas meter(s). The Contractor shall install gas calibration meter(s) of a type to record the total quantity of all firm natural gas consumed by the FCI. Contractors capable of providing natural gas services to the FCI and interested in receiving the solicitation must submit a written request for the Request for Proposal (RFP. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone calls requesting the RFP will be accepted.
