- Description
- This solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.303, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the official notification for which quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation document Request for Quotes (RFQ) 279-0044 and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 97-19. This procurement is being advertised as a fully competed procurement, under standard industrial classification code 8299, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Phoenix, AZ intends to award a Bicycle Repair Instruction Services contract to the contractor who submits the best value offer (a) within the City of Phoenix, County of Maricopa. This solicitation requires: 1).The instruction shall be the same as in any typical bicycle repair program; such as, lectures, videos, homework assignments and hands on training. 2). The student should have complete knowledge and the expertise to rebuild bicycles, repair inner tubes, replace chains, seats, wheels, peddles and brakes. The classes will be for a total of 4 hours per day, 8:30 am -- 12:30 am, 2 days per week, Monday and Wednesday, for a total of 8 hours per week. The course will run for 52 weeks with 156 sessions a year. A session will consist of a 4 hour block of instruction.
