Description

Notice of intent to award a sole source contract. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to negotiate and award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract under the auspices of FAR Part 12, to Logicon Advanced Technology, San Pedro, CA for Data Annotation, Recording and Mapping System (DARMS) Training. The DTRA has the requirement for up to four classroom training sessions in Fiscal Year 2001 for a maximum of six students per session. The training shall include an introduction to the DARMS as well as various specific blocks of instruction on the operation of the DARMS including instruction on a DARMS simulator. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties have fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this Synopsis, to submit in writing, to the identified point of contact, clear and convincing evidence of their qualifications and/or capabilities. Such qualifications and/or capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after fifteen (15) days, or without the required information, will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not conduct this effort as a full-and-open competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. All inquiries must be submitted in writing to the address or facsimile number stated herein and to the attention of Mr. David E. Miller, Contracting Officer. Responses to this notice must be received by close of business, September 13, 2000. Responses must include your business name, point of contact, address, and telephone number with area code.
