Description
DESC: Provide management and operation of the Personal Property Shipping Office at Fort Drum, New York with an area of responsibility including Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego, and St. Lawrence counties. Responsibilities include counseling military and civilian customers, arranging procurement of outbound commercial carrier services, preparing documentation, tracing shipments, arranging for delivery or storage, and inspecting carrier services. The initial award will consist of a base year with four Option years, with total procurement value expected to exceed $2.8 million. Anticipated use of Award Term contract procedures based on performance may extend the contract period for an additional one to ten years. This will be an 100%Small Business Set-aside under NAICS code 488510, which will be procured using Commercial Acquisition procedures under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation parts 12 and 15. The anticipated issue/posting date for the Request for Proposal will be on or about 22 September 2000. Note: The DUE DATE for the Request for Proposal will be on or about 24 October 2000 (The RFP will be posted on Fort Drum's web page). All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The RFP will not be mailed out and no mailing list will be maintained. The entire RFP package will be available for downloading from the Fort Drum web page. All sources wishing to submit a bid are required to monitor the Fort Drum Contracting web page for any/all amendments to the RFP. Failure to respond to any amendments may render the RFP as non-responsive and thereby rejected. The RFP must be supplied in hard copy form to the Directorate of Contracting, Fort Drum, NY, no electronic bids will be accepted.
