DESC: 1005-01-044-1026, Part Number 11825985, Offerors are hereby notified of the following requirement: In order to receive the technical data package, all offerors are required to execute a nondisclosure agreement binding each offeror to the terms and conditions of the agreement. Copies of the nondisclosure agreement may be found as an attachment to the solicitation posted on the web. The nondisclosure agreement must be signed by an official authorized to legally bind the company. Upon execution of the nondisclosure agreement, return by mail (TACOM-RI, AMSTA-LC-CAC-A/Sheri Gross, Rock Island, IL 61299-7630) or data fax to (309)782-3813, Attn: Sheri Gross. Upon receipt of the signed nondisclosure agreement, a technical data package will then be mailed to the offeror. The item to procure is a Barrel for the M240 Machine Gun, size is approximate 40MM diameter X 551MM in length. Parts attached to the barrel are the hinder flash, collar, plug, latch, release, adapter and spring pin. Finish to be chemical agent resistant coating (CARC). The tests required are proof, accuracy and reliability. Requirements are 100 each Barrel, for use on the M240C Machine Gun. Proposed contract is restricted to the Industrial Base. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 15 September 2000. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205.1(c) therefore hard copies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
