DESC:1005-01-362-8732, Part Number 11826038, Offerors are hereby notified of the following requirement: In order to receive the technical data package, all offerors are required to execute a nondisclosure agreement binding each offeror to the terms and conditions of the agreement. Copies of the nondisclosure agreement may be found as an attachment to the solicitation posted on the web. The nondisclosure agreement must be signed by and official authorized to legally bind the company. Upon execution of the nondisclosure agreement, return by mail (TACOM-RI, AMSTA-LC-CSCA/Sheri Gross, Rock Island, IL 61299-7630) or data fax to (309)782-3813, Attn: Sheri Gross. Upon receipt of the signed nondisclosure agreement, a technical data package will then be mailed to the offeror. The item to procure is a Cover Assy. This item consists of several small manufactured parts made from stock material and some forgings with intricate and close machining tolerances. Steel and Aluminum material is required. Quality Assurance Provisions (QAP's) are called out for several parts and assemblies. Phosphate coating is required. Requirements are 124 each Cover Assy, for use on the M240 Machine Gun. The proposed contract will include a 100 percent evaluated option. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 15 September 2000. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hard copies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
