- Description
- The US Army Materiel Command Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, has a requirement for a Dough Sheeter with Cutting System, quantity of one (1) each, Rondo Model number SSO-687C, Brand Name of Equal. The salient characteristics are as follows: (a) Able to sheet dough to 5mm., manually or automatically, roller gap must be infinitely adjustable. (b) Roller gap opening 45 mm. (c) End stop for final thickness. (d) Automatic feature must have at least four preset roller reduction rates plus a manual mode. (e) Equipped with take up roller or other means of collecting sheeted dough. (f) Scraper system easy to remove and clean. (g) A synchro speed system to provide even tension of thin sheets without tearing. (h) Twin cutting station consisting of a strip cutter and cross cutter; able to adjust cutting tension for different dough thickness and equipped with counter pressure rollers under the cutting station. (i) Variable cutting speed nominally 1" -- 4 5/16"/sec. (j) Mounted on stainless steel frame with castors for easy mobility. (k) All parts touching the food are to be food grade materials. (l) Provided with on-site two year warranty on parts and labor. (m) Include all necessary tools for operation and preventative maintenance. (n) Include set of spare parts for normal wear. (o) Provide on-site (Natick Soldier Center) start up and training for operation, maintenance and clean up. (p) Electrical: 3 phase x 220 volts, 60 Hz. (q) Power: not to exceed 10 amps. (r) Provide three sets of operating manuals. The Government reserves the right to request a demonstration of the dough sheeter prior to shipment. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification is 3639, the size standard for which is 500 employees. This acquisition will utilize best value source selection and will result in a Firm Fixed Price purchase order. The Best Value Source selection will be based on the quoters proposed price and ability to offer a product that meets or exceeds the minimum salient characteristics. The Request For Quotation (RFQ) will be posted on the Natick Acquisition Web Site: http://www3.natick.army.mil on or about 13 September 2000. The due date for receipt of RFQs will be specified on the face page at time of issuance.
