Description

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) intends to issue a Solicitation to Furnish and Install Three (3) Prefabricated Metal Canopies with associated concrete foundations, minor sitework, demolition of 2 existing canvas awnings and screen enclosures, relocation of an existing power pole including new electrical service and panel at one of the new canopies at the FLETC, located in Glynco (Brunswick), Georgia. This installation is to include all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to perform all work associated with this project, as set forth in the drawings and of work/specifications. A site visit will be scheduled. The purchase order to follow will incorporate the procedures used under Parts 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), including the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. Although this acquisition may exceed the simplified acquisition threshold, it is being procured through the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items under Subpart 13.5 of the FAR. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concern. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 30, 2000. Award maybe made to other than the lowest priced offer. Past performance will be considered to determine the best value to the Government. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Contracting Officer is Edward Gilmore(912) 261-3630.
