Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-00-R-0152 is hereby issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18 and DCN 20000606. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3844 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Navy requires a quantity of one Infrared Thermal Imaging Microscope System, Quantum Focus Instruments Corporation model Infrascope II, brand name or equal in accordance with salient characteristics. The optical design and features resemble a standard optical microscope, incorporating, for example, a rotating multiple objective lens turret, precision X and Y sample stage motion and Z (focus) control. The requirement also shall include installation and training in accordance with NAVSEA Crane Statement of Work. The installation and training shall be included in the price of the system. Delivery is required FoB Crane, IN within 120 days from effective date of contract award. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. Final acceptance will be within 5 days upon completion of installation and training. Note 12, Trade Agreements Act, applies. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. For the past performance evaluation,you are required to submit 5 recent sales of this item or a similar item that can be either Government sales or sales to the general public. Provide the name of the company or Government agency, contract and purchase order number, quantity, point of contact and telephone number. Offers that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
