- The following questions and answers are offered as a supplement to , and to assist with clarifying the original combined/solicitation posted August 23, 2000. 1) How many staff Gastroenterologist does the facility have? There is currently one (1) Gastroenterologist on staff, and the facility is actively recruting for another. 2) What kind of support staff will be available to the contract Gastroenterologist? Fully staffed endoscopy unit, secretarial support, and a medical resident 6 months out of 12. 3) What is the normal call schedule for the contract Gastroenterologist? Normal call schedule for Gastroenterologist. In general, will not be on-call unless specifically negotiated. 4) How often, on average, would the contract Gastroenterologist be called in while on-call? Would be called in 10% of the call time. 5) What is the average number of patients that the Gastroenterologist would be seeing on a daily basis? 5 procedures, 2 consults and 10 follow-up patients. 6) What is the average number of surgeries the contract Gastroenterologists would perform per week? Average of 25 per week. 7) Is the contract Gastroenterologist required to have a DEA certificate? DEA certificate PREFERRED, but not mandatory.
