Description

The Officer in Charge requires the Contractor to provide all labor, supervision,tools, materials, equipment, transportation and management necessary to provide services for collection, sterilization, incineration and disposal of Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) for the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. The Contractor shall be familiar with the current disposal practice and safe handling procedures set by EPA. Work will be accomplished by a Requirement type contract for a period of 12 months. The Government shall have the options to extend the term of the contract services for four additional periods of twelve months. The total contract term, including the exercise of any options shall not exceed 60 months. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 4953 and the standard size is $6M. This solicitation is unrestricted. This (IFB) will be posted on the NAVFACENGCOM Electronic Solicitation (E-Sol) web site on or about 19 September 2000. Estimated bid opening date is 19 October 2000.
