- Description
- The Officer in Charge requires the Contractor to provide al labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and management necessary to provide services for collection of foreign waste. The Contractor shall provide services for the disposal and burning of solid (quarantine) waste, (garbage), generated by vessels and aircraft returning from foreign countries. The Government forces will pick up the waste as soon as possible upon arrival of vessels, the Government will deliver filled containers to the Contractor's burning station. The Contractor shall be familiar with the current disposal practice and safe handling procedures set by EPA. Work will be accomplished by a Requirement type contract for a period of 12 months. The Government shall have the options to extend the term of the contract services for four additional periods of twelve months. The total contract term, including the excercise of any options shall not exceed 60 months. The applicable Standard Classification (SIC) is 49953 and the standard size is $6M. This solicitation is unrestricted. This (IFB) will be posted on the NAVFACENGCOM Electronics Solicitation (E-Sol) web site on or about 19 September 2000.
