Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking sources to provide electric utility services for the proposed facility, Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) that will be located west of the town of Salters, Williams County, South Carolian. The newly constructed FCI will include housing to accomodate approximately 1,500 inmates, and will include warehouse space and other generic institutional elements. Electric service shall be available for testing, with a connection by January 1, 2003. Permanent electrical srvice is required for use by July 1, 2003. The Contractor shall furnish to the FCI a 12,4760 volts, 3 phase, 4 wire, wye, 60 Hertz, serivce capable of serving an estimated connected load of 5,000 KW and an estimted demand load of 4,450 KW. Annual usage is estimated at 15,500,000 kWh. The Contractor shall provide metering station capable of monitoring the electricy consumption of the FCI. The metering station shall include all equipment, switches, disconects, pad, cable, conduit, meter and meter housing necessary to accomplish this requirement. The Contractor shall deliver the required electrical service to the FCI through electric meter(s) at the point of connection. Contractors capable of providing electric service to the FCI, should submit information to Contracting Officer no later than September 18, 2000 to the following address: Fedearl Bureau of Prisons, Procurement and Property Branch, Construction Contracting Section, 320 First Street, N.W., Room 5-006, Washington, D.C. 20534, Attention: Verna D.
