Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement to renew the lease of 2552 pagers and paging services currently being utilized by the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. The current lease is with Arch Paging and consists of the following equipment: Advisor Gold Pagers (685 each); Numeric Pagers (1815 each); Numeric Sky Pagers (49 each); and Alpha Numeric Sky Pagers (3 each). The contract will be solicited for a base year (beginning 01 Oct 00) with two, one year options. All pagers must by VHF and digital. Additionally, the Advisor Gold Pagers and Numeric pagers must have a range as far north as Port Angeles, as far south as Centralia, as far east as Enumclaw, and as far west as Aberdeen. The Numeric and Alpha Numeric Sky Pagers shall have a range throughout the United States including Hawaii. The current pager numbers can not be changed. Any offeror submitting a quote on this acquisition must verify the ability to obtain the current pager numbers from Arch Paging. The current pager numbers fall under the following prefixes: 781; 792; 307; 308; 405; 478; 613; 698; 109; 141; 142; 143; 144; 146; 220; 305; 457; 544; 573; 606. The procedures of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition, will be utilized. Per FAR 5.203(h), the RFQ offer due date has been reduced to 10 days from the publishing of this announcement. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 07 Sep 00 and close on 15 Sep 00. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which if timely received, shall be considered by FISCPS.
