News Studio Set for Yokota AB, Japan conceptual requirements: Contractor will design, furnish all materials and provide complete assembly instructions to furnish a complete news and interview studio. Set will include two risers (one for news set, one for interview set) with gold carpeting, background which includes dark wood grain and blue cyclorama (which incorporates gold Pacific Report Globe Logo), news desk, 2 vinyl logos (American Forces Network (AFN) Yokota will provide computer images for logos), railing behind news anchor, and effects lighting incorporated into the set. News set must contain a desk for one or two people, with AFN logo attached to front of desk, and room for 9_ program monitor (AFN Tokyo will provide monitor upon arrival of set) with tinted non-glare plexi-glass mounted on surface of desk. Desk and railing must be made of solid wood (no particle board) and have a dark wood finish (which matches finish of wood used in background) with gold trim. Interview set will follow same color scheme as news set and will include a coffee table made of solid wood (no particle board) with a dark wood finish. Dimensions: Note- All dimensions are in feet(_) and inches(_) [1] Set must fit inside a television studio 58_8_ long, 36_4_ wide and 18_ tall. [2] Backdrop will be 12_ tall, approximately 30_ in length, slightly curved to prevent overshooting by television Cameras. [3] Risers will be 10_ high with at least 1_ overhang in front and to the sides of desk and coffee table, and 3_ overhang to the rear of desk and coffee table. [4] News desk will be oval, approximately 28.5_ high, 9_ long, 48_ deep [5] Coffee table will be oval, approximately 19_ high, 60_ long, 33_ deep [6] Railing behind anchor will be approximately 28.5_ high, 68_ long, 14_ deep, and prevent anchor chair from rolling off back of news riser. Additional Considerations: Interested contractors should request a copy of the studio floor plan (News set is to be in the approximate location of current furniture in drawing) please indicate if you have capability to receive electronic CAD drawings. All contractors will be required to submit color illustrative drawing, basic floor plan with dimensions, assembly instructions, break-down of materials by name and quantity, and list of studio designs for a minimum of the last three years for past performance evaluation. The past performance list is to include the project title, name of company, point of contact for the company with phone number and fax number. Contractor will also state warranty period and coverage for the studio set. The contractor will be required to build the studio set in-house and ship it to the government in sections ready for assembly. The contractor has wide latitude to be creative in the design. Award of this contract will be based on the effectiveness of the design to include, but not be limited to, aesthetic appearance, use of available floor space, ease of assembly, price, and past performance.
