The item to procure is a M-3 Tripod Bundle consisting of the following five components: (1) Leg, Tripod Mount, Front, Upper Machine Gun, Cal .50 Steel; Phosphate finish; Machine Gun Tripod MT Model M3 Two Sectional Leg Adj. Combination Pin and Hole Screw and Release Lever with Foot Integral; 1 Head Attachment End Plain Drilled For Attachment Hole 0.499 IN. ID.;(2) Leg, Tripod Mount, Right Rear Machine Gun, Cal .50 Steel; Phosphate Finish; Machine Gun Tripod MT Model M3 Two-Sectional Leg Adj. Combination Pin and Hole Screw and Release lever; with Foot Integral; 1 Head Attachment End Plain Drilled For Attachment Hole 0.499 IN. ID. ;(3) Leg, Tripod Mount, Left Rear, Machine Gun, Cal .50 Steel; Phosphate Finish; Machine Gun Tripod MT Model M3 Two-Sectional Leg Adj. Combination Pin and Hole Screw and Release Lever; with Foot Integral; 1 Head Attachment End Plain Drilled For Attachment Hole 0.499 IN. ID. (4) Screw, Fastener. Screw Manufactured from Common Material. Overall Length 3.500 Threaded Area 7/8-.1428P-.2857L-ACME-SPL, Heat Treating Required, Phosphate Plating Required. (5) Latch, Pintle, Mount Tripod, 50 Caliber Machine Gun, M3. Consists of Parts Manufactured from Common Stock. Form Dies Will be Required to Manufacture Some Parts. Purchase Parts Required. Requirements are 320 each for Leg, Tripod Mount, 1005-00-555-9423; 440 each for Leg, Tripod Mount, 1005-00-650-7136; 320 each for Leg, Tripod Mount, 1005-00-650-7137; 1,200 each Screw, Fastener, 5306-00-610-8395 and 700 each for Latch, Pintle, Mount, 5340-00-610-8402. FOB is Destination. For use on the M-3 Tripod. Estimated issue date is 20 SEPT 2000. This "Best-Value" solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. The proposed contract will include a 100 percent option. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil.
