Solicitation N00421-00-Q-0600 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is not set aside for small business. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Motorola Federal for the part numbers listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The contract line item number and description is **CLIN 0001 Quantity 17 ea P/N T5795 keyloader kvl3000 hardware, CLIN 0002 Quantity 17 ea P/N X795 basic software package, CLIN 0003 Quantity 17 ea P/N X423 encryption, des, des-xl, des-ofb, CLIN 0004 Quantity 17 ea P/N C954 cable kit for astro spectra (includes TKN8531 & TRN7414), CLIN 0005 Quantity 17 ea P/N C724 cable for xts3000, CLIN 0006 Quantity 17 ea P/N NTN7395 spare battery, CLIN 0007 Quantity 17 ea P/N NTN1308 120 volt dual unit charger. Award is expected 11 September 2000. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 06 September 2000 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
