- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 9715. This is 100% set-aside for small business. The SIC Code for the req. is 3812, 750 employees. The U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Support Command Portsmouth, VA intends to procure Model CT-30 CONTRABAND DETECTOR SEARCH KIT which is proprietary product of Campbell Security Equipment Company of Pleasant Hill, CA. The equipment uses Gamma-ray backcatter technology that utilizes a radioactive source of Barium 133 with less than 10uCi radioactivity, in combination with a Cadmiun telluride solid state detector to locate anomalous densities concealed behind homogeneous surfaces. The government intends to purchase this equipment with Campbell Security Equipment Company's exclusive distributor SAS R&D Services Inc. No substitutes will satisfy agency's requirements. All responsible sources have up to 15 days after publication of this notice to respond. Two (2) each required. Delivery is desired by 31 OCT 00; FOB Destination (shipping included); Matl to be shipped to Commander (Shipping and Receiving), 431 Crawford St, Portsmouth, VA 23704. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers-Commercial, and 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
