Description

Fluor Fernald, Inc., Prime Contractor for the United States Department of Energy's (DOE) Fernald Environmental Management Project (FEMP), Fernald, Hamilton/Butler County, Ohio, seeks interested laboratories to perform industrial hygiene chemical analysis for Fluor Fernald, Inc. under a requirements contract. These laboratory services are specific to the generation of industrial hygiene chemical (organic, inorganic) data of documented and known quality. The quality of data and the methodologies used in the generation of the data must meet the requirements set forth in the contract. The services to be provided require the processing of samples of various types of materials to determine the quantity of specific chemical constituents via primarily OSHA and NIOSH protocols. The materials to be analyzed are airborne contaminants. These filters may contain high levels of RCRA hazardous constituents and radioactive materials (Uranium and Thorium). Interested laboratories shall have at a minimum a NRC or Agreement State License to accept low-level radioactive samples for analyses.
