Description

USDA, OCFO, National Finance Center (NFC) located in New Orleans, LA intends to issue an order to Responsive Systems of a DB2 Buffer Pool Tool Software to run on the IBM Sysplex Environment. The DB2 Buffer Pools Tool is tuning device for collecting and analyzing statistical information. The Buffer Pool Tool will predict the effect of recommended changes to the DB2 buffer pools. The Buffer Pools Memory is part of the DB2 Data Base Manager Address Space which contains large amount of data loaded from DASD. Faster access is achieved by loading the data from DASD once into Buffer Pools then subsequent access to the data is achieved much faster from the memory resident data. The Buffer Pool Tool is a productivity aid that automate the gathering of statistics on the use of DB2 Buffer Pools. Based on those statistics, the Buffer pool Tool makes recommendations regarding the allocation of these Pools according to the statistics gathered. The Buffer Pool tool performs the analysis and recommendations to allocate the DB2 Buffer Pools leading the DB2 applications to be turned and preforming at peak levels. Interesting parties which believes itself capable of providing the required software must respond within fifteen (15) calendar days after the appearance of this synopsis submitting technical information and pricing data. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. No solicitation documentation exists and requests for such documents will be considered non-responsive and not valid for further consideration. If no affirmative written responses are received within the time indicated, a contract will be place with the aforementioned contractor without further notice .
