Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and FAR 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written statement will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Solicitation number F05611-00-T-1357. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-19. This proposed contract action is set aside 100 percent for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification is 3577 and the Business Size Standard is 1000 employees. Offerors must state their business size on their quotation. All offerors wishing to do business with the Government must be actively registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database. All pricing shall be quoted FOB Destination. The Government intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price purchase order for this requirement. DESCRIPTION: Rapid Prototyping Machine -- used, refurbished, polyester based desktop 3D printer. This machine will be used by Engineering Mechanics and Aeronautic Design courses at the USAF Academy to build parts from CAD drawings. Specifications are as follows: 1) Machine must be capable of building parts up to 305x203x203mm(12x8x8 in). 2) Automatic Operation Using AutoGen software. 3) Machine must be compatible with Windows NT, Sun Microsystem, Hewlett-Packard and Silicon Graphic Workstations. 4) Machine must be capable of printing 3D prints within an accuracy of +-.356mm (+-.013in). Positional accuracy must be .245mm (.010 in).5) The refurbished system must include the same warranty provisions as a new system.
