- Description
- Sources are being sought to provide time and materials maintenance and repair services for the security system located at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Austin Automation Center (AAC). This service is for a complete access control, alarm monitoring, and photo imaging system located at the VA AAC (unless otherwise noted), including, but not limited to, the following: Main ('head end') or server computers (Compaq/DEC AlphaServer with VMS, Compaq Deskpro 4000 with Windows NT Server), and all connected accessories (such as a UPS, printer and tape drive). Operator interface computers (Compaq Deskpro with Windows NT Workstation and Toshiba Tecra laptop), and all connected accessories (such as a UPS, color printer and tape drive). NOTE: one operator interface computer is located approximately 10 miles from the AAC and connects via dialup modem). Network components (hubs, boosters, cabling, etc.). All access control software and related modules or applications; All Software House Advanced Processing Controllers (apC's) and all connected components. All custom-built Power Distribution Units (PDU's) and all connected components. All Cotag proximity readers; All custom-built keypads, All door contacts, electric strikes, magnetic locks, badge making camera and printer, and all related components. Complete surveillance camera control system including (but not limited to), the following: American Dynamics (AD) matrix switchers; AD camera controllers, AD or other multiplexers; AD or other time-lapse VCR's; All monitors connected to AD matrix switchers; Equipment used at video print station (monitor, VCR, printer, etc.); Sensormatic SpeedDome surveillance cameras (interior and exterior); American Dynamics fixed cameras; and any other equipment determined by the COTR to be security or security-related equipment which the contractor is capable of maintaining or repairing. There is no solicitation document available. Potential sources are required to respond within 7 days of publication of this notice.
