Description

The U.S. Department of Energy, Nevada Operations Office (DOE/NV), intends to solicit the services of James K. Magruder on a sole source basis to provide technical and management expertise to DOE/NV in carrying out their Maintenance of Nuclear Test Capability and Stockpile Stewardship and Management responsibilities. These activities encompass essentially all aspects of stockpile stewardship, including subcritical experiments, underground nuclear weapons testing readiness, other NTS experiments, above ground experiments at the Nuclear Weapons Laboratories, and Arms Control and Treaty issues. The services to be provided include but are not limited to strategic planning, independent review and analysis of proposed stockpile stewardship and management plans and activities, provide independent advice and recommendations to DOE/NV management and perform management studies relating to underground nuclear weapons testing readiness and emergency management issues. Due to the unique nature of the work and security issues, possession of a "Q" clearance is required.
