Description

The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center has a requirement for access to a library which can provide a wide range of material on transportation issues covering scientific and technical areas, social science areas, and policy and regulation areas. The contractor will be required to provide direct access to Volpe National Transportation Systems Center personnel by interlibrary loans with Volpe Center library, photocopy requests and reference services. Anticipated period of performance is a 21 month base period with one twelve month option. The Volpe Center intends to award a sole source procurement to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. A market survey was conducted in June 2000 and the results of this survey support our determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm. See Numbered Note 22.
