Description

The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order, utilizing simplified acquisition under the simplified acquistion threshold (under FAR Part 13.5) to Texas A&M Research Foundation, 3578 TAMU, University Drive and Wellborn Road, College Station, Texas 77843 (educational institution), to provide autonomous spar buoy operation and maintenance in Mississippi Bight for six (6) months operational period for an alternate approach to collection of velocity data, and provide collected data, upon validation, for entry into the Northern Gulf of Mexico Littoral Initiative (NGLI) Web Site. The basis for the proposed non-competitive action is that there is only one responsible source and no other source posses the capabilities to satisfy the requirements of this Command. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; no solicitation will be issued.
