- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/request for a firm fixed priced purchase order to be issued under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, limited to all concerns located in the Dade/Broward area. This procurement will be issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program for Emerging Small Businesses. SIC CODE: 1752. SIZE STANDARD FOR EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS: $5.75 million. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR WAGE DETERMINATION NO. FL000001. Additional provisions apply. All work must be performed and completed in accordance with Statement of Work (SOW) which follows. Carpet the COMMSTA OPS Building Electronics Repair Shop Supervisor Office and the Duty Room. Vendor will also install new vinyl tile and cove base in COMMSTA OPS building Corridor 2,3, and shipping and receiving (room 109). Enclosure (1) is a layout of the spaces where the carpet and tile will be installed. VENDOR WILL PERFORM/PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING: (1) Removal of existing vinyl tile in COMMSTA OPS Building Corridor 2 (room 106) Corridor 3 (room 111), and Shipping and Receiving (room 109). (2) Removal of the existing cove base COMMSTA OPS Building Corridor 2 (room 106), Corridor 3 (room 111), and Shipping and Receiving (room 109). Cove base is the trim at the bottom of the wall. Cove base may also be referred to as baseboard. (3) Perform required patchwork on existing concrete floor where old vinyl tile was removed prior to installation of new vinyl tile. This entails smoothing out any unevenness in the concrete floor and repairing any cracks or other problems that may preclude the new vinyl tile from being properly installed. (4) Installation of new vinyl tile on COMMSTA OPS Building Corridor 2 (room 106), Corridor 3 (room 111), and Shipping and Receiving (room 109). The tile shall be Mannington color flax #143 or similar quality tile with ETCS Tucker's approval. The vinyl tile shall designed for heavy commercial use. The tile shall be glued down to the existing concrete floor. (5) Where new vinyl tile on Corridor 2 (room 106) will meet existing carpet in Corridor 1 (room 102, the contractor shall ensure the existing threshold between the carpeted floor and the tiled floor remains in place or a new threshold is installed. (6) Where new vinyl tile in Shipping and receiving (room 109) will meet existing vinyl tile in ET supply (room 118), the contractor will ensure there is a smooth transition. The transition will be made so that when the door between theses two rooms is closed only the newly installed tile will be visible when viewed from Shipping and Receiving (room 109). (7) Installation of new cove base in COMMSTA OPS Building Corridor 2 (room 106), Corridor 3 (room 111), and Shipping and Receiving (room 109). The cove base shall be color dark brown (no color code). (8) Installation of carpet in COMMSTA OPS Building Electronics Repair ship Supervisor Office (room 120) and Duty Room (room 121). The carpet shall be Beaulieu color Aztec #007, grade 26 ounce or similar quality carpets with ETCS Tucker approval. The carpet shall designed for heavy commercial use. The carpet will be glued down over the existing vinyl tile in these two rooms. (9) All of the carpet, tile, cove base, and adhesive required to complete the job. (10) All of the tools and safety equipment required to complete the job. COMMSTA MIAMI PERSONNEL WILL PERFORM/PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING: (1) Removal of all furniture and/or equipment in the spaces where carpet and tile will be installed. (2) Replacement of all furniture, and/or equipment in the spaces where carpet and tile have been installed. HOURS OF ACCESS TO THE COMMSTA MIAMI SPACES FOR THIS WORK: Normal Access hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM until 10:00 PM. Access on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, is not normally granted. If both COMMSTA Miami's technical representative and the contractor's representative agree that work needs to be accomplished outside of normal access hours, special arrangements will be made on a case by case basis. The contractor shall provide 40 hours notice prior to the commencement of any work at COMMSTA Miami. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Electrical outlets are available for use by the contractor in all of the of the spaces where work is to be performed. A dumpster for discarding trash is available for the contractors use. NO HAZARDOUS WASTE IS TO BE PLACED IN THE DUMPSTER. The contractor shall be responsible for removing and disposing of any and all hazardous waste generated in the performance of the contracted work from the COMMSTA Miami grounds. The magnitude of this project is less than $25,000. Applicable FAR clauses, wages, Tax Identification Package and drawings will be provided with FAX request until supply is exhausted.
