Description
The Solicitation issue date and the date of receipt of prposals have been delayed. The new dates are: Solicitation Issue Date on or about September 22, 2000 and the Receipt of Proposal Date is revised to October 24, 2000. REHABILITATION JOHN H. KERR POWERHOUSE BRIDGE CRANE, BOYDTON, VA. 1. The Scope of Work includes rehabilitation of existing 225 ton Bridge Crane at John H. Kerr Powerhouse, Boydton, VA. Services include: Cleaning; Inspecting; Evaluation and Testing of: Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural Components; and Controls, for replacement and/or refurbishment as needed. Work may also include some Lead Paint and Asbestos Abatement. Magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000. and $5,000,000. Selection will be base on factors in the following areas, as listed in the contract documents: Contractor's / Manufacture's Experience in Crane Design and Crane Fabrication; Installation Experience; Past Performance; Quality Control Personnel's Experience; and Management [Gantt Chart of Work]. 2. ABILABILITY AND CHARGE: THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ON CD-ROM, WILL BE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, AND SHOULD NOT BE RETURNED. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed paper hard copy form. Amendments will be made through either a 3.5" Diskette, CD-ROM, or hard copy. The CD-ROM contains simple window viewing application and two [2] commercial software applications. All applications contained on the CD-ROM can be run from the CD-ROM. No installation is required. The recommended minimum hardware requirements are: [1] 486/66 personal computer; [2] 8 or 16 MB RAM; [3] CD-ROM Drive; [4] Windows driven printer. The recommended minimum software requirement is: Microsolf Windows 3.1, Windows 95, or Windows NT. All Proposal Froms, Proposal/Bid Bonds, and other normal documents required for proposal submittal shall be in a paper medium. Electronic medium for proposal submittal SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED.
