Description

Work to be accomplished includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the renovations to the hospital including bathrooms, corridor handrails, entrance renovations, fire alarm replacement, and lead base paint and asbestos abatement. Install a new four-stop elevator in the hospital and a new five-stop elevator to the Lakota Lodge. Exterior work includes a new water main, painting, and new valves for the elevated water storage tank, sidewalk replacement, and curb cuts. The performance period will be 390 calendar days. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The proposed contract is being advertised as UNRESTRICTED per the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. A pre-solicitation notice is being issued concurrently. Bid documents will be available on or about September 18, 2000, at DHHS/IHS/Engineering Services Seattle, address listed above. If a large business is awarded the project, a Small and Small Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting Plan will be required to be submitted prior to award. Bids will opened at 1:30 P.M., local time, at the Engineering Services-Seattle office.
