Description

The National Park Service anticipates awarding a sole source contract, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Ludowici Roofing Tile, C/O Excel West, PO Box 69, New Lexington, OH 43764 for Royal Red French Clay Tiles and associated fittings with a moisture absorption of less than 3%. Quantities are: 65 squares of field tile, 300 each #102 hip roll, 32 each detatched gable rake (1/2 left -- 1/2 right), 16 each end bands, 30 each c-9 ridge, 2 each c-9 closed ridge end -- high bump (1 male -- 1 female), 12 each c-9-102 hip-2h-1r high bump (10 male -- 1 female). These tiles will be used to reroof and repair roofs on historic Fort Yellowstone buildings. This vendor produced the original tiles in 1909 and has supplied replacement tiles since that time. To our knowledge this is the only vendor that can produce the exact tile. Quotations are being solicited orally. All reasonable sources may submit a technical proposal demonstrating ability to meet the requirements of this synopsis. Proposals will be evaluated to determine if specifications can be met. Prices shall be FOB destination, Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park, WY. Delivery time is 120 days ARO. Anticipated award date is 09/27/00.
