- Description
- The Government intends to purchase, on a sole source basis, one each Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) Internetworking Analyzer, Radcom PrismLite LAN/ATN, from Radcom Equipment, 575 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, New Jersey 07430. This ATM Internetworking Analyzer will be purchased as a new component for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Virginia's network analysis system. The following feature set is the minimum required feature set to ensure compatibility with current hardware. The required network analyzer must have a multimode optical carrier-3 (OC-3) interface with full rate capture and traffic generation at 155 Megabits per second (Mbps), internal capture buffer size at a minimum of 64 Megabytes, and separate probe unit and client software for a Microsoft Windows-based PC, with a 10BaseT Ethernet interface. The software for the network analyzer must have numerical and graphical display of bandwidth utilization for the overall network and specific Virtual Path/Virtual Channels (VP/VC) as well as distribution by upper-layer prototype (Transport Control Protocol [TCP]), User Datagram Prototype (UDP), and Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. The software must also have distribution of errors by PV/PC, and must be capable of report generation with automatic creation of printable reports with the above data included. The software must have an automated e-mail alarm triggered by throughput crossing network utilization threshold. The required software must have compound filters that consist of several filters chained together, and be capable of full seven-layer real-time decodes of the Open System Interconnection (OSI) protocol stack with all popular upper-layer protocols supported such as TCP, UPD, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), and Network File System (NFS).
