Description: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island intends to award a one-year contract with four one-year options for bottled water. This advertisement cancels Solicitation N66604-00-R-6275 and re-solicits under Solicitation N66604-00-R-7114. Line items include 68 bottled water cooler rentals for 41 buildings in Newport, Rhode Island and 3 bottled water cooler rentals for 3 buildings in Niantic, Connecticut. We estimate a need for 23,166 five-gallon bottles of water plus cups for Newport per year, and an estimate of 260 bottles of water plus cups per year for Niantic. The Government will award a firm-fixed-price contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The Government will evaluate technical capability, past performance, and price. The solicitation will be issued 8 September 2000, close 20 September 2000, and we anticipate award for 1 October 2000. Procedures per Parts 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations will be followed. The acquisition is set aside 100% for Small Business under SIC 5149; size standard 500 employees for supplies.
